Coffee Farms, River Kafu, and Kikonda Forest Reserve

At The Edge Trading, we warmly invite you to embark on a special journey with our coffee farmers in Kyankwanzi District, situated in the western part of Buganda, Central Uganda, approximately 160 kilometers from Kampala. Boasting lush green forests and prairies, Kyankwanzi District is located on the plateau behind the western fork of the East African Rift, at 1,000–1,200 meters above sea level.

Staying on with the coffee farmers offers a unique chance to connect with these small-scale farmers, immersing yourself in their daily routines, witnessing their dedication and hard work, and engaging in meaningful interactions to learn about their traditions, challenges, and aspirations firsthand. Since 2002, over 8 million trees have been planted, covering an area larger than 10,000 soccer fields. With over 120 bird species, including 39 at risk of extinction.
