About our Coffee

Led by our Managing Director, Amos, who brings over 20 years of expertise, our journey in coffee processing is rooted in rich experience and knowledge. We also have a production and processing team, guided by a manager with a 10-year background in coffee profiles and quality.

We keep up-to-date with new technologies and standards through regular training. This commitment ensures we maintain the highest quality in our coffee processing.

Our Hulling Stations: Local Ingenuity and Community

We operate hulling stations made by skilled locals in Kalungu District, Central Region of Uganda. These stations process coffee efficiently at 1.5 metric tonnes per hour. The coffee then travels to our secondary facility in Mbalwa Namugongo, where it undergoes grading and preparation for export.

Our hulling stations are vital links to the farming community. By being closer to the farmers, they have become central to our trade and a showcase of our practices. They play a crucial role in positively influencing farmer attitudes and practices in the community.

Our Dry Processing Mills

Our three mills, located in Mpigi Kammengo, Bananywa, and Ntwetwe in Kyankwanzi, offer subsidised milling services and act as aggregation centers. Organising farmers into groups per district, we enable efficient coffee aggregation. Starting in 2022 and concluding in 2023, the mills now serve 300 farmers.

Situated amidst the villages overlooking the Edge coffee farm, our high-quality plant is meticulously cleaned daily, with coffee stored on wood pallets to preserve their freshness. Our knowledgeable staff prioritise health and safety, providing and using safety equipment as needed.

Farmers predominantly deliver coffee to our mill via bicycles or motorcycles. Our trained staff follow a standard operating procedure, receiving and recording vital information such as weight before milling. Moisture and quality analysis are conducted, with clients promptly informed for efficiency and quality improvement. Payment is then disbursed, and coffee stored in our warehouse, ready for transport to the Edge grading plant
